Matt has over 25 years of experience working in the accounting and finance field from various industries including public accounting, construction, mining, real estate, manufacturing, and food and beverage.  He has worked in these industries in the capacity as an outsourced controller / CFO, outside CPA and tax accountant, and as an in-house accounting professional.  He most recently served as CFO of a medium sized heavy-civil construction company.  His public accounting career began as an auditor with KPMG, but most notably includes starting his own CPA firm that he grew and eventually merged with the regional firm of Eide Bailly.

Matt’s diverse background in accounting, finance and income tax gives him the experience necessary to work with small to medium sized businesses as a strategic consultant.  He has the knowledge and skillset to assess an organization’s operations in order to implement effective financial frameworks.  He also enjoys analyzing an organization’s financial data to identify trends and opportunities, as well as provide due diligence reviews for outside parties.

Matt has resided in Montana all his life and is married with three daughters.  He enjoys playing and watching golf, day hikes, and spending time with his family.
